Hi Petrica!

How are you doing gorgeous? Hope you are doing absolutely fine? It’s monsoon here in India, and we need to take really good care of ourselves. But you know what? After summer, when the monsoon arrives, our skin loses its glow. So, Petrica how can I get glowing skin in the monsoon? Can you please answer that?

Regards,

Reena

Hi Reena!

I am so happy that you wrote this to me. You know what, sometimes in doing all our household chores, we don’t get time to pay attention to our skin. And that is also one of the reasons why our skin loses its charm. So, I am very happy that through this Q&A people will get to know the right skincare routine during the monsoon season.

Well, after summers all of us love the lashing rains, sitting on the balcony and looking at the sky with a cup of coffee in hand. But with the monsoon comes a big problem; the skin problem. With the increase in humidity, our skin starts acting up. And we need to switch to a better skin regime that suits us in the monsoons. So, here are the tips to keep your skin glowing in the monsoon:

THE CTM+ EXFOLIATING ROUTINE:

CTM stands for Cleansing, Toning, and Moisturising.

1.) Cleansing your face:

You need something that can give an instant glow to your face. So, you should invest in a soap-free cleansing gel to help you get rid of the impurities and dirt. You can use this all around the year so that your face is not stripped of natural oils. You can also use foaming face washes that cleanse your skin gently without disrupting the pH balance.

2.) Making your toner:

It is like a DIY recipe. Take rose water, add a drop of peppermint essential oil to it and add saffron to the mix. Then add some water to this mix and dip cotton balls in the mixture. Cool it in the refrigerator and use it to wipe your skin. It makes a good cleanser and helps in eliminating excess oil from your skin. Also, you can use wipes to remove excess oil and dirt.

3.) Moisturize:

It is another important skincare regime. You can use a gel-based moisturizer if you have oily skin.

EXFOLIATE:

Make sure that you use a mild scrub at least once a week to exfoliate your skin. Exfoliating helps you to get rid of dead skin cells and makes your skin glow. You can complete your exfoliation by using a soothing mask.

DIY Masks:

You can make a “Sandalwood rose mask” that has its soothing properties. It is one of the best ingredients for your skin and helps in brightening your skin. So, simply mix 1 tsp of sandalwood powder with pure rose water. This mask is suitable for all skin types and is one of the best options. Apply this mask to your face and neck and leave it to fry. Then splash some water on your face and wet the mask. Now gently scrub your skin in circular movements to let it exfoliate your skin. Then rinse it with normal water. After this, if your skin still feels very dry, then you can use a natural moisturizer.

Love,

Petrica
