Hi Kiara!

I hope that you are doing extremely fine. Babe, last week I fought with my boyfriend, and he gave me a choice to either select him or my career. I mean is love enough by itself to sustain a relationship? Can’t there be an alternative to this? And why do we have to choose when we consider having both options?

I would be waiting to hear from you, Kiara. Lots of love babe!

Thank you!

Cathrine!

Dear Cathrine!

I love you for constantly questioning me about something that’s very practical. If you ask me I would never compromise my financial stability for love because I cannot live in, wear, or eat on love. I would have never gotten married or gotten committed myself to a person who was not making constant efforts to resolve his money issues. Catherine, if the relationship would’ve been just casual and consisted of just dating, then I would not forgo going out with someone who had monetary issues unless those financial issues were seriously affecting the things we could do for fun. But babe, long-term commitment needs financial compatibility, despite whatever feelings of attraction exist. A partner who understands the importance of money and sound financial stewardship is essential. Also, in the US do you know that money is the leading cause of separation and relationship dissolution?  Well, there are couples whose marriages have been crumbled because one is an overspender and mishandles money, whereas the other is a saver who only buys what he can afford. So, however, for me when it came to a long-term commitment, I did not look past a prospective or partner’s poor spending habits because of the potential financial instability bad money management would’ve caused. I would’ve been single that is my take on this question. I hope you got an answer to your problem Catherine?

Love,

Kiara!
