The year of Peace and Trust ( declared by UN):

Most countries around the world need Peace and Trust at the present moment. When it comes to development and cooperation between the countries of the world, peace and trust become the prime conditions. And this was ensured by the UN General Assembly by adopting a resolution that declares the year 2021 as The International Year of Peace and Trust. This reaffirms the role of the United Nations in peacemaking.

Increase in the number of Electric Vehicles for the first time in Europe:

Yes, it’s true! For the first time in Europe Electric vehicles outsold Diesel ones in August this year. And the best part is, by next year this number is expected to increase all across the UK. This sudden rise is possible because of a fall in prices, petrol shortage, a wider variety of vehicles and an increase in the number of charging spots available. This has to be one of the first steps towards addressing the process of climate change.

Coming back of the Olympics:

After being on hold for about a year, the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo were finally held this year. The pandemic made the history of rescheduling the Olympics Games for the first time! However, the Games made a comeback with a set of rules and guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. And this time many new games were introduced that include Skateboarding, Surfing, Karate, Baseball. The event witnessed the best performance by the US with 113 medals in total.

50th anniversary of Walt Disney World:

This year, on the 1st of October, Walt Disney World made history by celebrating its 50th anniversary. This theme park by Disney wanted to reach out to more and more people. Even after a continuing year of hardship amidst the pandemic, the park saw its busiest of days with covered faces and other rules. It was open for the entirety of 2021 and there have been days where the park pass reservation system calendar displayed no availability for guests. However, the celebrations of the 50th anniversary began on October 1, 2021, and are all set to last for eighteen months. Also, guests are likely to witness all special arrangements during this anniversary season, from special food to new merchandise options.

Plastic ban in 77 countries of the world:

We all are aware of the damage that plastic products can cause to the environment. And single-use plastics such as plastic bags are the most damaging ones because of their durability. As per reports, every minute about a truckload of plastic is dumped into the ocean. Keeping in mind such problems, governments have put a ban on single-use plastic in about 77 countries in the world. This ban has been both full and partial in different places. However, it seems an effective step from the government to combat the effects of plastic pollution and promote sustainable alternatives instead.
