2. Reading a book:
We have heard a lot of people saying that they do not read as much as they used to. This digital world has cut into a lot of people’s reading time. So, if you have a stack of good books in your room that keeps calling your name, then the last week of December is a perfect time to shut down the technology and get lost in a good book.
3. Going for a walk on the beach:
It’s very beautiful to take a walk on the beach in the winter. If you do not find time to cherish nature, then take a day off in the last week of December and spend some time on the beach which will clear your mind.
4. Hosting a games night:
There are a lot of families who love playing board games over the holidays. On Christmas eve, people spend evenings playing board games because those are the memories they always think of. The last week of December is a perfect time to invite your friends over for a games night. They are a lot of fun though!
5. Going to skate:
The weather is up and down in December. So, start planning for an outdoor skate, which might not happen always. But if you live near an area that offers several rinks near your destination, then you plan for this.
6. Watching a movie or a web series:
December’s last week is a time to binge-watch something or catch a movie you have been wanting to see.
7. Having friends over for a cup of coffee and muffins:
A majority of holiday invitations are for night-time events. So, how about having your friends over for a Holiday coffee? It is so much fun. A casual morning get-together and a chance to share some holiday pictures or stories will make your last week of December fun!

There is something about setting up a puzzle on a table and simply leaving it out over the holidays. You will be surprised how your family will sit with you and enjoy this game. This activity is considered a very relaxing activity. So, try getting your hands on this one!
9. Going out and supporting a local coffee shop:
The post-holiday season can be the start of the quieter winter months for many businesses and organizations. If you still have holiday visitors, then why not go to a local cafe to see what options you can explore? It is a great way to spend your magical evenings.
10. Starting a New Year’s goals list:
We know, this might feel a bit more like work, but working on your New Year’s goals can be relaxing. So, break some of your goals into months and see how you can do that. A New Year feels like a fresh start and knowing what goals or plans you have turns out to be a very helpful activity.
Winters can feel long and sometimes brutal. This is why you should make the most of the holiday season and cherish the last week of the year. We have months of cold nights, so, let’s go for some twinkling lights and fun for a little bit longer.
