Hi Kiara,
Thank you for your recent email. I loved your winter dating idea and I would try some amazing winter dating ideas with my Stephanie these winters. Ok, now coming to the point. My best friend lives in India, and he has invited me to his wedding. And his wedding is taking place in the winter season. So, tell me Kiara, why do most Indians marry in the winter season? Can you please tell me?
Thank you!
Joseph!
Hi Joseph!
I am glad that you liked my winter date ideas. I would be waiting to hear from your end about your experience. Now, coming back to your point, you know in India people check muhurutam which is an auspicious day by showing the horoscopes to a priest and then deciding the date. Also, in India summers are very hot. Even if they look for an Air conditioned wedding hall, all the wedding planning fails miserably. Just imagine getting married and sweating. And also people who come for the wedding keep sweating too.
Now for the rainy season, there are extreme flood chances. So, they do not want to get soaked in drainage water and attend a wedding. Hence, winter is the best season in India to get married, also it does not ruin your wedding plans.
Plus people can dance as much as they want and not miss the Indian food. It’s superbly made in winter because of the availability of green vegetables.
So, next time when you attend an Indian wedding in winter, please share a few pictures. I would love to see them.
Thank you!
Kiara
