Hi Kiara!

Greetings of the day! I hope you are doing well. I was reading your blogs and I want to appreciate you for being so poised and answering every question with so much grace. So, Kiara, I have a question for you. I am in a long-distance relationship, and I love my partner. But you know what, it is very difficult to maintain this. What can I do to make this long-distance easier?

Love,

Pelly

Hi Pelly!

Yes, we are doing great. What about you and your Bruno? Is he doing fine? Just share a few pictures of him. So, Kiara before getting married I was also in a long-distance relationship for almost a year. Yes, it was difficult, but it absolutely worth it. I would have chosen to be in a long-distance relationship than choose someone else.

You know when the person is right, the distance is worth it. I know it is just not easy to handle long-distance. It breaks you and irritates you too. You have to take a lot of effort to make it work, but you can do it. If you are in love with the person, you will make it work. So, here are the things you can do to make it work:

1.) Communication: In LDR you cannot meet, but you can communicate. It is that one thing that connects you. Simply talk. Talk a lot about anything and everything. Make sure that you set a time and talk to each other.

2.) Going on virtual dates: Yes, it might sound silly, but trust me, it is fun! There are many virtual reality games that you both can play. So, take your bf out on a virtual date, it feels special!

3.) Being creative: LDR forces your inner genius to act creatively. So, make small efforts to keep that spark going. Send them a virtual greeting card or start an online journal together. There are so many things to do! It might seem like a lot of work, but you will have fun.

4.) Making small gestures: Always make an effort to make each other special. You do not have to send them expensive gifts, just tiny little things can make them feel special.

5.) Being honest and understanding each other: The basis of any relationship is trust. If it does not exists, your relationship will not work. Hence, be patient and believe them.

6.) Expressing more: Now that you would not be able to see each other, just be vocal about your feelings. Let the person know how much you miss them and love them. Do not shy away from expressing yourself and your emotions.

Also, there is so much more I want to share with you. But just remember that distance can never separate you. Yes, there will be times when you want to give up, but the pain is worth it. And then when you meet them, shower all your love. These meetings are pretty special!

I hope, I helped. Make it work!

Love, Kiara!
