Thank you so much for asking this question. I thought about it a couple of times, and I think it depends on one’s relationship with their father. If this is something you feel comfortable telling him or not telling him, that is entirely up to your choice. In a healthy relationship, yes one should know and can casually tell their dad by behavior and bodily changes, but unfortunately, not all relationships are healthy. And if you are not close to your dad like me, you can share it with your Mother or talk to your friend about it. I hope you comply with this.
