QUESTION
Hi Amanda!
We are entering ’22 in a few days, and I cannot wait. Hooray! I hope you’ve already started planning your year-end parties. You know I have decided to forgo New Year’s resolutions. However, I do not know how to master it. I hope I do not fall and later regret my decision. Is there any way to master my year without new year’s resolutions?
With love and cheers,
Josie!

ANSWER
Hey Josie!
Definitely! I’m excited as hell. 2021 brought plenty of surprises, but we managed to sail through it without a hitch. May this new year be filled with sunshine and happiness for everyone.
I know what you’re thinking. However, as the year goes on, I realize that keeping no new year’s resolutions isn’t so hard! Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t set resolutions for 2021 and did the best I could.
I think we can indeed establish company-wide goals and resolutions in the new year. As for personal ones, I will refrain.
The key to mastering the no-year-resolution strategy is being committed to action. I wholeheartedly believe that motivation comes from action. Let me share my three golden rules for sticking to a plan and achieving success.
Golden Rule 1: Don’t delay. Take action now.
Instead of putting off starting on Monday or the first of the month, start as soon as possible. When thinking about revamping things? Do a little brainstorming! Jot down your thoughts and share them with yourself. Want to try a new diet? Plan your meals based on what’s already in your refrigerator. Giving away or cooking for a friend is the best course of action if the rest of the food is incompatible. Is your writing is poor? Despite the nagging voice in your head (yes, I started it that way), write an article and publish it.
The first steps are always the most difficult, so take them as soon as possible.

Golden Rule 2: Seize every opportunity you get.
We, as humans, have the habit of not having time for the things we would like to accomplish in life, but it is frequently a problem of poorly planned daily schedules. Make sure “not having the time” doesn’t catch you off-guard.
Get started today by setting aside 5-6 minutes per day to work on it. You’ll be surprised how easily the process fits into your daily schedule.

Golden Rule 3: Give motivation a chance to warm up.
I love to wait patiently for the sunrise days with a cup of coffee early in the morning, around 6 to 6:30 AM. It’s a shot of beauty that fills my soul to see the world awake, and it motivates me to strive for a productive day ahead. You too can have that kind of day.

Now that you’re re-energizing, it’s time to move! I hope my three simple rules have brightened your day, and if not, I encourage you to enjoy the sunrise around you. 🌿
Trust me, if you follow these rules, you will undoubtedly have the merriest 365 days.
Love,
Amanda!
