Fashion isn’t always easy in extreme weather, specifically when the temperatures are below average. Many people seem to be experiencing a slump as winter approaches.
That’s pretty normal at this point. So, how can we combat it? Brighten up your wardrobe with some fun clothing and accessories.
If you’re used to subzero temperatures or cannot deal with anything below zero, now’s the time to start planning your winter wardrobe. We’ve gathered some outfits to help you prepare.
We’ll take a look at these outfits immediately, but first some tips to stay warm on chilly days:
Winter Survival Tips:
- For staying warm, layering is essential. Layer a camisole or tank top with a tee, a long sleeve shirt, or a sweater, and finish with a coat. Add a pair of warm tights or leggings (you can even double them!) underneath your pants or jeans.
- Make sure your hands and feet are covered all the time. It is safer to wear insulated boots or shoes or wear thick socks (wool usually works best). Be sure not to forget those cozy gloves and mittens!
- You can accessorize with many wintery accessories. Embroidered scarves, hats, knitted headbands, and earmuffs – let your imagination run wild.
- When choosing winter clothing, choose fabrics with a high thermal value, such as wool, fleece, cashmere, and flannel.
- Lastly, remember that safety will always take precedence over fashion. You can still be chic and warm, but frigid temperatures can be deadly, so it would be better to sacrifice your stylish attire than suffer the consequences.
Winter Dress and Blanket Scarf
Without cute sweater dresses, your winter wardrobe wouldn’t be complete. For colder days, keep your neck and shoulders warm by sporting a bulky blanket scarf. Even if you live in a blizzard, it’s still doable since this outfit can make you feel like you’re in Las Vegas during winter. All you need to do is wear a wool jacket and tights, and switch from shoes to boots.

Bubblegum Sweater
We all have sweaters that we are reluctant to donate, and this blush pink sweater is the epitome of that dilemma. The half-turtleneck and basking sleeve fit, as well as the cuffed hems at the wrists, let you pair it with anything. Although, it is going well if you put it on with jeans or jeggings!
To achieve an in-between look, we blended punk rock and girly-girl styles. Adding the cute sweater to these leather skinny jeans as well as a classic pair of heels will turn heads!
While open-toed heels may not be the most practical winter shoe (but with this look, they go perfectly), this outfit is perfect for the entire season.

Fabulous and fluffy
Fuzzy jackets add a fashionable touch to a lavish look. Interchangeable and stylish, this set merges both glam and punk harmoniously.
Even in cold climates, a black mini dress is not always appropriate. This soft and heavy faux fur jacket, however, will do the trick. White combat boots add a rebellious vibe to this winter ensemble to complement the pink furries and sleek black dress.

Cropped Jeans and a Leopard Coat
Add instant glam to classic jeans and a turtleneck ensemble this winter, especially when paired with a leopard coat. Style your look with flat loafers and a sturdy bag for a chic look that allows you to go from brunch to shopping.

Rainbow Sweater
Get on board this season’s hottest sweater trend and don a rainbow sweater. All you need is a layer on top of skirts, pants, and jeans, a rainbow-striped sweater with a color that makes you happy.

Coat with Dark Florals
The darker floral prints you wear this winter will show off your feminine side and keep you warm (while looking great). Wearing a floral coat will instantly enhance all of your winter looks if you opt for a darker ensemble.

Die-hard Denim Lover
Are you a denim addict? Wear a chambray shirt and blue jeans with a long wool coat or a cardigan during the winter for stylish double denim. This outfit can be worn for work casual days forward to casual brunch with friends at the weekend if you add a structured bag and strappy shoes.

Shearling Coat
If you want to look fashionable on a cold day, a shearling jacket is the best choice. The short shearling coat will make you look stylish this winter when worn over slim-fitting boyfriend jeans. You can display gorgeous shoes with it. Combine them with an ankle boot, a cable knit sweater, and you are ready to rock the weekend.

Cold, Rainy Weather Outfit
Putting on fleece tights and a cozy flannel shirt (you could even wear a t-shirt underneath) before layering on a stylish cardigan or hoodie and jeans will keep you warm. Wear a multipurpose, waterproof vest over a cozy gray hoodie in this look rather than a typical raincoat. You can keep out the cold with a pair of fun and comfy wool socks and sleek snow boots.

Finish off your look with an infinity scarf, gloves, and a knit headband. Be sure to carry a stylish transparent umbrella as well.
