Good Morning Petrica!
I found your blogs through one of my friends. She suggested I read them while I was suffering from Covid-19. While I was in total isolation, I kept reading them, and it built positivity in me. I also follow your answers to those little questions that people keep asking you and I must say that you are a ‘miracle’. You give such doable advice to all our complicated problems. So, Petrica like, I said, I suffered Covid-19, and post this, my hair has become thick. Hence, I wanted to ask you, your hair care routine, so that it helps me as well.
Love!

Hey Jiffy!
Welcome to my blog, my soul-sister. Even I suffered from Covid-19 last year, and I know how difficult it is to get out of this traumatic situation. I can relate to you in every bit gorgeous! Post-Covid, I read a lot about hair fall problems and thought of taking good care of my hair. But Jiffy, every hair care is different, and it needs different treatment too. Since my hair is kinky and coiled, so, here is what I do:
Tight locks do need an intense and thoughtfully a considered approach to hair care problems. Usually, I shower my hair with a deep conditioner that gets rinsed out halfway. The reason behind this is that residue of the conditioner keeps the hair smooth and shiny. Once I get out of the shower, I immediately comb my hair through a leave-in conditioner. Then I twist a large chunk of curls around my finger and use coconut oil or silicone serum because my hair gets 50 percent dry. Also, when I choose products for my hair, I use creamy products and don’t use products that contain dry shampoo, alcohol, or strong-hold gels because it increases my hair’s fall.

If your hair is straight and fine, then use thickening shampoos and conditioners. Use them on the very ends of the hair. Also, after using a conditioner, make sure that you rinse your hair properly. Try using heat-protecting sprays from mid-length through the ends of your damp hair. Post this, comb your hair through a mound of mousse while styling your hair. Dry shampoos can add textures. Make sure that you use it throughout the day to create a fresh lift.

If your hair is straight and thick, start by combing a few drops of styling oil through the wet hair section by section. Use shine sprays to combat dullness and finish it off with a shine spray. Don’t use volumizers.

For wavy hair, the treatment is different. It requires pouf control and frizz. Wavy hair doesn’t need rich shampoos and styling products. Instead, you should use lighter styling products that are rich in natural oils rather than silicone. These products tend to make your hair smooth. Never use gels and curl creams for wavy hair. Instead, use salt sprays if your hair requires coaxing. Also, sundry your hair, do not use a hairdryer. It entangles your hair, and your hair starts falling. You can use styling oils too.

If your hair is curly, you can use sulfate-free shampoos and rich conditioners with silicone and panthenol. They will moisturize your hair and nourish them too. Always make sure that you use water-based styling products if you are using heavy conditioners. The trick to applying a conditioner is to start from the mid-length to the ends when you are not using shampoo. You can also use gel or curl mist to keep your curls refreshing.

I hope this will help you Jiffy. Do let me know if anything.
Love,
Petrica!
