Weekend calls for a small get together with family and friends and what’s better than watching an amazing movie sequel with your dear ones. There are so many sequels doing so good on the big screen, in fact better than the originals. Let’s jump into some of them real quick and pick one for this weekend.

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY

This movie sequel actually got an 8.8/10 so one can figure out how the movie would be but we won’t leave you without stating forward a review by a parent herself @erica1 has posted a review on commonsensemedia.org that says :

Our boys watched the trilogy when they were 8 and 10. They loved all three. I couldn’t believe they sat through them as so long!! It is tame but gripping. To put this in context, our ten yr old found Ghost Busters terrifying after first five minutes so couldn’t watch it. But he loved all 9 hours of this trilogy. They are 16 and 14 now and still say these are some of their favourite films. Really not violent at all by today’s standards.

BEFORE MIDNIGHT

If you plan to watch this mind-blowing movie this weekend, you should definitely read these reviews first. We feel it’ll convince you to watch it and make you even more excited.

A.O. Scott mentioned in The NY Times, “Before Midnight” follows the continuing romance of characters played by Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke in the third film in a series directed by Richard Linklater.

And similarly S. Jhoanna Robledo said in Common Sense Media, “Watching a couple flirt, fight, negotiate, cajole, and challenge each other has never been as compelling as when the couple in question is Jesse and Celine”

HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN

A user @goldkatana loved the sequel so much that he left some amazing reviews about the same. He has specifically mentioned, “Look, don’t get me wrong, all of the Harry Potter movies are brilliant, but the third film is unequivocally the best of the series”.

We promise you won’t regret watching it.

TOY STORY 4

One dialogue that we loved from the sequel was:

Froky: “I am not a toy. I’m a spork. I was made for soup, salad, maybe chilli, and then the trash. I’m Litter. Freedom!”

User @bwecht tweets a witty yet hilarious tweet:

“Trying to explain your 5yo the difference between the dolls that come to life in toy story 4 and the doll that comes to life in Annabelle comes home is surprisingly difficult”.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE- FALLOUT

A sequel rated 7.7/10 is said to be an interesting movie by the critics and we came across a lot of reviews from which one caught our eyes, that is by Helen O’Hara in Empire newspaper… she says, “A combination of thrilling stunts, insane daring and clever writing make this a stunning piece of action cinema. Just be sure to take your heart meds first, and hold on tight”.

BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN

Bride of Frankenstein perfects the campiness that the original film, Frankenstein, desperately needed. This Frankenstein is not scary—just a mild-mannered monster in need of a friend. He gets one in his mate, who sports one of the most iconic hairdos in Hollywood’s history. Still considered a high watermark in the monster movie franchise, the movie slyly snuck a queer subplot, feminist plot points and meditations on necrophilia past the ratings board.

So we have shared our bit of the story and now would love to get the reviews from your end in the comments.

GLASS

Glass is said to be an amazing movie with a great story line as one expects it to be but hey hey we aren’t going to spoil it for you but we and this reddit user can definitely give you guys quick thoughts about the same.

“I really loved the movie. Story-wise, it really felt like a comic-book/superhero tale in the most grounded & smallest scale possible. This movie is also extremely character-driven just like Unbreakable and Split are; don’t expect a summer-blockbuster going in. I was ecstatic to hear some of the Unbreakable score in some moments of the movie; Thordson’s score is good, but it’s no where near the level of Howard’s in my opinion.

For those who have read reviews of Glass, I’m sure that many of the reviewers have mentioned how they felt about the ending. Again, no spoilers, but I do think it will be pretty divisive. That being said, I personally loved where it went”…. writes a user on Reddit.

GHOSTBUSTERS  II

User @mizzoukills on tigerdropping.com questioned other users whether ghostbusters 1 is better than the 2 or is it vice versa?

Another user replied saying, “Ghostbusters 2 is far more entertaining. Love both movies, but 2 is just better. It’s a rare sequel that exceeds the original movie”.

Bill & ted face the music:

A small disclaimer: The ruler of the future tells best friends Bill and Ted they must compose a new song to save life as we know it. But instead of writing it, they decide to travel through time to steal it from their older selves. Meanwhile, their young daughters devise their own musical scheme to help their fathers bring harmony to the universe.

Before watching a movie or a sequel all of us want someone who have already watched and would brief something about it so that we can decide if we want to watch it or not.
